iLash & Beauty Bar Privacy Policy

About our Privacy Policy

If you require any more information or have any questions about our privacy policy, please feel free to use our "contact us" onLine email form.

The iLash & Beauty Bar respects the privacy of our clients and online visitors. This privacy policy page outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by The iLash & Beauty Bar and how it is used.

In short, we do not give out nor share information for any reason unless demanded by an agency that is in possession of Australian Legal Documents which has the Australian Legal right to demand such release of information and that the person requesting the information has legitimate proof that they are lawfully permitted by that agency to collect or view that information at the time of the request. We have had a total of "Zero" requests for privacy information.

The only information kept for any length of time is only that which is needed to legally maintain our books and contact and/or delivery information of our clients. However, website servers faithfully record lots and lots of other information.

Log Files

Like every Web site, The iLash & Beauty Bar has a commercial server which keeps log files. These log files include exact data like internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and everything else needed to completely load each webpage on your exact personal internet device. To personally identify you with one website is very hard with this information alone. We would need to get at this type of information from many other websites or a very large and popular website to track you as an individual. Like the Facebook-Microsoft-Instagram-BingMaps [we know where and what you did last summer] alliance can do for example or any of the browser add-ons you may use.

We do however make use of statcounter.com's page counter and free statistical analysis service which gives us a watered down version of any server logs as mentioned above. We use the "free" version which only holds the last 500 hits, and not last 500 users as a website development tool in an attempt to understand how our pages are performing.

Cookies and other Web Tracking Methodologies

Cookies have a date of expiry unless you delete them first. Some more modern types of web tracking software can be setup with no expiry date and can hold much more information and can even be stored on various other computers around the world and without your permission. No advanced Adobe Flash [aka SuperCookie] or Microsoft Silverlight or similar spy cookies are in use by this website.

Third Party Cookies

Aside from StatCounter, there maybe other third-party servers called from our website which we keep to a minimum. These are on our home page only [facebook Like and Google+ buttons] and like all web pages with these type of popular yet surreptitious doorways which automatically gather and share your IP address [and other data] according to their individual privacy policy. Other technologies such as JavaScript, LSOs, DOM storage or Web Beacons to name a few, may also be in use to gather content on you by these third-party networks for their own purposes all of which is outside of our control.

Deleting Cookies and Privacy Management

You can disable cookies. This does not disable other forms of spyware cookies. Firefox and Chrome offer easy cookie management as well as plug-ins like "ghostery" for advanced privacy management. You can download and install programs known as "cleaners" which can also eradicate the more invasive types of web tracking technologies in use. These are available from shareware-freeware software websites such as tucows.com, cdnet.com etc.
